2025 INPCS25-NeuroCARES Abstract Submission

We invite you to submit an abstract for the 5th Annual INPCS Meeting (INPCS25, “Building the Future of Care”), taking place September 9–11, 2025 in Phoenix, Arizona! Whether your research is complete or still in progress, we want to hear about it. Abstracts from previously presented work are also welcome.

We are accepting submissions for both:

  • Work-in-progress presentations
  • Completed project presentations

Special Event: Neuropalliative Care Research Summit (NeuroCARES)

INPCS25 will be immediately preceded by the 2nd NeuroCARES on Tuesday, September 9, at the same venue. NeuroCARES is an NIH-funded, research-focused event designed for neuropalliative care researchers to connect, identify research gaps, and set future priorities. (Separate registration fee: $99 for INPCS Member; $149 for non-members)

Junior investigators attending NeuroCARES are encouraged to apply for one of several $500 travel awards to help cover meeting expenses.

Submission Details

A single application portal will allow you to:

  • Submit to INPCS25
  • Submit to NeuroCARES
  • Apply for the Junior Investigator Travel Award

Please note: At the time of submission, applicants will indicate if they plan to attend NeuroCARES, INPCS25, or both meetings. For applicants attending both meetings, the planning committee may assign oral or poster presentations to either NeuroCARES or INPCS25 as appropriate.

NeuroCARES Junior Investigator Research Travel Award Eligibility
Junior investigators attending NeuroCARES are encouraged to apply for one of several $500 travel awards to help cover meeting expenses.

  • Submit a scientific abstract for the 2025 NeuroCARES meeting on September 9th, 2025, and attend NeuroCARES in-person
  • MDs, PhDs, trainees, and other allied health professionals are eligible (Nursing, social work, physical therapy)
  • Applicants must be within 7 years of completion of their training (either terminal degree, residency or fellowship, whichever occurs latest).
  • Applicants with faculty appointments must be at the Assistant Professor or below (not applicable if you are not on a faculty track)
  • No history of R01 level funding or equivalent  


ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The online abstract submission form must be submitted no later than 11:59pm EDT on Sunday, June 15, 2025. If you have any questions that are not answered here, please email info@inpcs.org for more information.

  • Abstracts must be in PDF format.
  • Title: Limit 100 characters. Please capitalize the first letter of each word in the title. Please refrain from using all caps.
  • Authors: Maximum of 40
  • Structured Abstract:  Objective(s), Methods, Results and Conclusions
  • Abstract text length:  Maximum 2,500 characters (including spaces)
  • Figures:  Up to two figures/tables allowed. These must be included in your PDF.
  • Due to ongoing uncertainty at many academic medical centers, the organizing committee has elected to waive the abstract submission fee for this year.
  • Other: 
    • Abstract scoring will be conducted blindly. Please do not include any identifying information (i.e. names, institutions) anywhere in your submission OTHER than on the online submission Form.
    • When percentages are used, the absolute numbers of derivation must be stated.
    • You do not need to be a member of INPCS to submit an abstract. However, we encourage presenters to join INPCS and take advantage of reduced registration fees and other member benefits. Learn more about membership here.
    • Posters selected for presentation must be represented in-person at the conference by at least one of the authors.
